Teaching is a passion of Andrea’s. She was instructed at the Eastman School of Music and at Northwestern University in harp pedagogy. Andrea offers lessons to students of all ages and all levels from her home studio in the South Park area of Charlotte. Previous musical study helps, but is not a requirement.
Andrea will teach your child the language of music and the joy of harp! Her studio has a positive and enthusiastic environment. Students will learn to use the harp as a vehicle for their own expression and the skills they learn will transfer to success in the future. Andrea tailors the curriculum to match your child’s specific learning needs.
Lessons include instruction in the realms of harp technique, musicality, music theory and ear training, and performance practices.
Andrea is also an Adjunct Professor of Harp at University of North Carolina - Greensboro (UNCG) and Davidson College. For more information about studying with Andrea at any of these institutions, please visit the school's website or contact Andrea directly.
Andrea is happy to help her students find instruments to rent or own. It is not necessary to bring instruments to Andrea’s home studio for lessons, but it is crucial to have a harp to practice on at home.
Private lesson pricing is as follows:
30 minutes: $60
45 minutes: $80
60 minutes: $100
Private lessons are priced by the semester. The Fall semester is from late August - December and the Spring Semester is January-May. New students are welcome to join mid-semester!
