Wedding on the Waterfront

This wedding season has started off really rainy. Most of the weddings call for a rain forecast and in turn, an emergency tent rental. I was afraid that Kendal and Chris' wedding would be the same, but we were so lucky with the weather! It was an absolutely stunning and 74 degree day on the waterfront of Lake Norman. Kendal and Chris held their ceremony and cocktail hour at Queen's Landing, a waterfront venue for dinner cruises, sight seeing, and entertainment because their reception was all on a boat causing around Lake Norman! Rainy day charm at The Duke Mansion

Eric and Jess contacted me a year ago for their wedding. I'm so glad (and they are too, probably) that they contacted me early because I ended up getting 6 other requests for weddings on their day! The couple is so sweet, and, as they pointed out, I look like I could be a relative of the groom's family due to having the EXACT same hair color :) This wedding cemented my opinion of the Duke Mansion. It is, hands down, my absolute favorite wedding spot in all of Charlotte! The old-world charm of this mansion tucked away in Myers Park creates an classic vibe.
