Events honoring Lauren Bush Lauren

I played two events both honoring Lauren Bush Lauren as the keynote speaker for the Visionary Women's Luncheon. The first was at the incredibly beautiful Duke Mansion. It was my first time playing there, and I believe the first time they've had a harpist play there due to strict neighborhood noise regulations that make having a DJ impossible. The checkerboard floors were a definite throwback to the original beauty of the house which is expertly maintained! I played during the cocktail hour and dinner for some of the most influential women in Charlotte...what an honor! The very next day was the Women's Luncheon at the Mint Museum in Uptown. I was joined by fellow harpist Christine VanArsdale to play duets as the guests entered the luncheon. It was a first for me, playing harp duets at a gig, and I really loved it!
